Refund policy

At Avalon Nursery & Ceramics, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Because we deal with both living plants and fragile ceramics, we have specific guidelines to ensure a fair process for all customers.

1. Return Window

  • Non-Perishable Items (Ceramics, Tools, Pots): You have 30 days from the date of delivery or in-store pickup to return these items.

  • Live Plants: Because plants are perishable, any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. We do not accept returns on live plants after they have been in the customer's care for more than 24 hours, as we can no longer guarantee their health.

2. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email contact@Avalonnurseryandceramics.shop or call +1 (323) 234-6762 with your order number.

  2. Condition: Items must be in their original, unused condition. Ceramics must be free of cracks or dirt. Plants must be in their original nursery pots.

  3. Method: You can return items in person at our storefront (5334 S Avalon Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90011) or ship them back to us.

3. Return Shipping & Fees

  • Customer Responsibility: For "change of mind" returns on non-perishable goods, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.

  • Restocking Fees: We do not charge any restocking fees for standard returns.

  • Defective or Damaged Items: If an item arrives broken (ceramics) or in poor health (plants), we will provide a prepaid return label or a full replacement at no cost to you.

4. Refunds and Processing

  • Refund Method: All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

  • Processing Time: Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 2 business days.

  • Bank Posting: Please note that it may take an additional 5-10 business days for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account.

5. Non-Returnable Items / Exceptions

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Items marked as "Final Sale."

  • Gift cards.

  • Plants that have been repotted or removed from their original nursery containers.

  • Perishable items (veggie starts, annual flowers) unless they arrive damaged.

6. Order Cancellations

You may cancel an order for a full refund at any time before it has been shipped or prepared for local pickup. Once a plant has been pulled and staged for pickup, a 10% maintenance fee may apply if the order is canceled.
