Shipping policy

At Avalon Nursery & Ceramics, we take great care in packaging our plants and ceramics to ensure they arrive at your door in perfect condition. We ship to all addresses within the contiguous United States.

1. Order Processing (Handling Time)

  • Handling Time: All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (Monday – Friday).

  • Cut-off Time: Orders placed after 12:00 PM (PST) will begin processing the following business day.

  • Tuesday Note: Our physical nursery is closed on Tuesdays. Orders placed on Tuesday will be processed on Wednesday.

2. Shipping Rates & Transit Times

We offer flat-rate and weight-based shipping via UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Your total shipping cost will be calculated and clearly displayed at checkout.

  • Total Delivery Time: Handling Time (1-2 days) + Transit Time (3-5 days) = 4-7 Business Days.

3. Local Pickup (Free)

Skip the shipping fees by picking up your order at our Los Angeles location:

  • Address: 5334 S Avalon Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90011.

  • Timeframe: Orders are usually ready for pickup within 24 hours. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready.

  • Pickup Hours: Mon, Wed–Sat (10:30 AM – 5:00 PM) and Sun (10:30 AM – 4:00 PM).

4. Shipping Restrictions & Weather Delays

  • P.O. Boxes: We cannot ship live plants to P.O. Boxes; a physical street address is required.

  • Weather Holds: To protect your plants, we may temporarily hold shipments during periods of extreme heat (above 95°F) or extreme cold (below 35°F). We will notify you via email if your order is delayed due to weather.

  • States Restricted: Due to agricultural regulations, we currently do not ship live plants to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico.

5. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can monitor your shipment’s progress directly on the carrier's website.

6. Damaged Items

If your plant or ceramic pot arrives damaged, please take a photo and contact us within 24 hours at contact@Avalonnurseryandceramics.shop or call us at +1 (323) 234-6762. We will send a replacement or issue a refund immediately.
